You refuse

"No thanks." you say. "I don't need your course." That's a lie but you're sure you can figure something out.

The following day, you are sitting alone, waiting for your Mathematics lecturer to show up when Sarah takes the seat next to you. "Hi Daniel." she greets you warmly.

This is strange. Sarah usually sits with her friend, Tanya. Not that you're complaining. You've had a crush on her since the day you met.

"Hello Sarah." you manage to overcome your shyness to greet her.

"Mrs Collins said that she asked you to volunteer to help our Child Care class." She gets straight to the point. "She said you refused."

"Yeah." you say.

"But we need you. And I know you can't graduate without the bonus points she'd give you." She says. "It'll be fun. I promise."
