You joined for the glory.

“I want people to see me,” you say simply. “I joined so I could put myself on display in front of the whole world, in a way you can’t in any other sport. Even when I lose, I get to show everyone my physical and sexual prowess. There aren’t many better feelings than hearing everyone cheer for me.”

“Couldn’t be any more different from me if you tried,” Melody murmurs.

Kayla shoots her an odd look at that, but doesn’t comment.

“You wouldn’t be the first to join up to chase the spotlight,” Angelica says. Then, smirking: “I know that because Dinah and I were both here before you.”

“Honey, I don’t chase the spotlight, it just follows me around,” Dinah tells her with mock arrogance.

“Keep telling yourself that,” Angelica retorts good-naturedly as the game winds down.
