Dinah’s **** hurt like a bitch, but you’ve taken worse and kept on coming. You shove her back before she can grind out a domination point (which you doubt would have worked if she hadn’t been worrying more about playing to the crowd than smothering you out). She stumbles back in surprise as you quickly climb to your feet.

But she doesn’t seem angry that you escaped her. Quite the opposite, in fact: she bounces on the balls of her feet, happier than ever.

“Well, well, lookee here,” she says. “Little rookie’s got some fire in his belly. I think I’m gonna have to fix that.”

The Cowgirl grabs you by the hair and yanks you up roughly before spinning you around and slamming your head into the turnbuckle. You’re thankful for the leather padding that protects victims of such moves from being hurt too badly, but it’s a small blessing—your head still spins from the blow. And the Cowgirl doesn’t seem like she’s letting up.

With your back still to her, she wraps your powerful arms around your midsection and hoists you up off the ground, bending backwards as you hurtle through the air. In your punch-drunk state, you only realize what’s happening a moment before the suplex sends you crashing into the mat.

The impact seems to rattle you down to your bones, and the announcer doesn’t let it go unmentioned as Dinah watches you struggle to rise. “Check out that German suplex! The Cowgirl is showing off her strength as she seems to want to completely break John’s fighting spirit. And I’m gonna be honest, it’d be pretty hard to keep it intact through—wait. What’s she doing?”

Your eyes flutter open and look around the ring—then go wide in absolute horror.

The Cowgirl is climbing the ropes.

You start crawling away, **** to escape a finishing aerial move, but it doesn’t look like you’re going to make it in time. It’s going to take a lot to save you from this.
