You have a dream

You pass out just as the morning sun arises. Your vision fades as the last batch of men climb off and disembark for the day. When you wake up, you find yourself in the forest at the foot of a mountain outside the village. You are nudged awake by something cold and wet. When you open your eyes you see a grizzly bear at your side. You sit up ready to defend yourself. In your culture you are taught to respect bears as they are symbols of Geia herself, but also warriors seek to challenge them to prove their mantle in unarmed combat or just a dagger to see if they are worthy warriors.

Before you can wonder how you ended out in the forest, you notice a green aura surrounding the bear, and your heart sings with joy as you figure out this is a dream and Geia is communicating to you through a dream. You are so delighted by this as you’ve heard others have visions through their dreams and this is your first time dream you have communicating with your god, who you’ve worshiped all your life.

The bear starts to lead you in a direction as you get to your feet to follow. You follow along the foot of the mountain until you approach what looks to be a cave. As you get closer you see the opening of the cave seems to be more squared off as the opening looks reinforced. As you pass by, you see what looks to be a mining camps set up front. You hear voices as you see what appears to be miners ascending out of this mine.

“Good thing Henry found this cave last week, all that silver in the mine is going to make the village very prosperous. As the two men speak, they don’t seem to notice you. You look at Geia and the bear gives a simple nod and continues. Walking only for a short bit, you hear a noise sort of a mewing of sorts. You look for the sound of the mewing until you a pile of rubble, where a couple of huge boulders with look like black scorch marks on them. Under one of the bigger boulder you see a pile of blood and guts. Under the smaller pile, you see a saber tooth kitten caught underneath it.

Now this brings up conflict, despite growing up worshiping Geia all you life, loving nature, you have also grown a disdain for animals that clans of your enemies flags they fly, you just can’t let a poor kitten suffer like that. You run over picking up rocks and fling them aside, using all your strength on the last and biggest boulder until the tiger is free. It nuzzles your leg and runs off. The grizzly smiles in way a grizzly can as she approves of you helping out a creature in need.

As you wander a bit, you start to recognize more of your usual hunting grounds. Geia, or the representation of Geia leads you out of the forest over standing hills outside the village. As you overlook the farmland you see freshly tilled fields. The bear stands besides you and you watch as suddenly the crops grow and shoot up right in front of your eyes. They look greener and healthier than you’ve ever seen in your life. The cool spring air suddenly feels hot and humid almost like summer. Geia walks with you along path through the farmland and into the village itself. No one seems to notice you walking with a green glowing bear. As you walk until you almost trip over the bear as she stops at the local tailor shop where you hear the voices of Terrence and Marth Loomin discussing.

“Oh Martha I can’t believe it, after all these years of trying, we’re finally going to have a child. Bless be the Earth Mother, and her grace to bless us with kin.” In the window of the shop you see Martha Loomin showing her pregnant stomach to her husband. Suddenly as if the passage of months and suddenly the air feels colder and you notice snow on the ground. Your attention is brought back inside the store, as you see Martha holding twins in her arms, and her husband seems to be measuring them for outfits. This is when the bear nudges at your side and directs you to the temple.

“Is this all because of me?” Again the grizzly nods in approval and nudges for you to continue to the temple. You let out a shiver wishing you weren’t naked, but with each step you notice it getting warmer, but also as if time was flowing again, not forward, but backwards, back to the night of the Fertilization Festival, or more the morning after. You walk behind the temple and see your own body, unshackled just snoring away on the altar. You reach out to touch your body when you awaken for real.

When you awaken you see Thunder rounding the corner, he comes and helps you stand off the altar. You feel sticky with dried up seamen caked onto your body. You look at the altar though and it looks pristine as it did the night before. Once you fully regain consciousness, you feel the weight of the world suddenly hit you as Thunder quickly grabs you and stabilizes you onto his shoulder.

“How do you feel?” He asks you as you start to make your way to the side of the temple. Grunting as it is sore to move.

“Feels like ran 1,000 laps around the village walls. I need a bath, we need to find the acolyte girl, she has my clothes in chest in the temple’s private bath. I also had a dream about the success of last night’s ritual.” You two make your way into the temple as you explain the dream to your mate, Thunder sets you down into the bath as he goes to look for Loren.
