You get captured

“…yes really! I need a ticket back home ASAP…” Hisako is on the phone, talking to what you think is her boss. Her assistants are sitting next to you and eating a delicious hamburger. Well, next to you, but on the other side of the iron bars.

You are sitting on a cage big enough to hold bigfoot, which you guess was the original purpose of this expedition. The cage is on the back of a pickup truck parked on a dinner next to the highway.

You have crossed your legs and folded your arms. Most of your green skirt is gone by now, but a few flowers and leaves stubbornly cling onto your skin and give credence to the crazy idea that you are a nymph. Sadly, not one of them is on your crotch, too few are on your ass, and only a small flower remains to hide your left nipple.

The wind is chilly, and a group of curious townspeople ogles you. Hell, one annoying youngster keeps poking you with a stick! You long since stopped trying to get them to help you, they don´t seem to believe you very much.

Maybe you can convince someone else, though? Not from the horrid peanut gallery, but the other researchers. “Hey buddy…” you whisper to them. “It´s kind of cold, can you give me your jacket?”

“Sorry pal, the doc forbade us from giving you anything. Something about fueling your magic and using it to cast a curse on us. You understand.”

You sigh, of course, she did. “Can I get some fries at least?”

The man shrugs and hands you his leftover fries. You take your time munching them, enjoying what little silver linings you can find. When will these idiots realize their mistake? Hopefully, before you get too far away from home.

“So, bad news.” Hisako hung her phone. “We aren’t going to fly the nymph to Japan just yet.”

“Thank goodness,” you mutter.

“Before that, the dean wants to make sure she is a nymph. So, all the prominent paranormal researchers in the country will come and take a look at her.”

“…Say what?”

“Yes, they will all come here and examine the nymph from head to toe so that we can be sure that she is, in fact, not a human. It´s going to be quite the event! Even if we are wrong, I bet we´ll see the story in the cover of the Monthly Believer!”

Great, just great. They are probably going to publish pictures too. Any thoughts you had of going back to the camp and getting **** on Sabrina will have to wait for a long time. You hung your head and grumble, the worst is yet to come.
