Letting your instincts take over, you duck just in time as her foot sails harmlessly just inches above your forehead.

Her confident grin quickly morphs into a surprised yelp as her enziguri kick misses and the ground suddenly rises up to meet her gasping face.

Faceplanting unceremoniously on the mat, La Diabla lets out a faint moan as her intended comeback subsequently falls flat on its face.

Glancing down at her her foot still in your grasp, a sudden idea crosses your mind.

Dragging her away from the ropes, you press her foot against your chest and without relish began twisting it in an unenviable position.

La Diabla’s face immediately lights up with pain as you forcefully rotate the ankle with your forearms still anchored around it.

Taking notice of this maneuver, the announcer exclaims, “The rookie reverses La Diabla’s attempted enziguri kick right into an ankle lock. And boy has he got that cinched in!”

“¡El hijo de puta!” she cries out in agony, kicking at you futilely as you continue to wrench and tug away at her foot.

“That better be Spanish for ‘I tap’ or you’ll be limping out of here,” you snarl, increasing the pressure to her ankle with every passing second.

Still yelping in pain, Angelica stubbornly holds her tongue, concentrating her efforts on reaching the ropes to **** a break.

Unfortunately for her, the distance between her and the ropes is simply too far away for her fingertips to grasp.

Raking at the mat in frustration, she struggled and thrashed around in just about every direction but you hold on to her ankle for dear life.

Not letting this opportunity slip through your fingers, you continue punishing the joint until finally she’s had enough.

With a defeated whimper, La Diabla Roja pounds her hand against the mat.

Immediately, you relinquish the hold, allowing her to roll back to a corner and recuperate.

The crowd pops huge for the tap out, serenading you with thunderous applause from every corner.

“John has successfully submitted La Diabla Roja with an ankle lock, folks. Very smart of La Diabla’s part, cutting her losses before a potential sprain could negatively impact her performance going forward,” the announcer informs the audience.

Briefly glancing at the JumboTron replay of the sequence, you take a moment to catch your breath as Angelica gingerly begins to rise up to her feet.

Using the ropes for support, she nods at you respectfully while massaging the soreness in her ankle.
