You arrive at MTU

Soon after breakfast the next morning the train pulls to a stop in the town of Pottersberg. “This is our stop sweetie,” you hear your Uncie say as the train pulls up to the station.

“What happens if I fail the test,” you say feeling even more panicky.

“Your Uncie takes your hand and says, “Don’t worry, nothing bad will happen to you. Worst case you will get a wipe of the past few days and wake up in your bed at home with no memory of what has happened to you.

You walk across the campus. It has dozens of ancient looking buildings with no signs on the outside to give any clue to what the purpose of the building is. You don’t know if the dark foreboding buildings are dorms, offices or class rooms. It gives you a slight creepy feeling as if someone is watching you as you walk across the campus.

The headmaster is an old man, the oldest man you have ever seen in your life. His hand is cold as he offers it to you, and his eyes rheumy with age, but as you look into his eyes he seems to look into your head, deep into your brain. You realize that there is great power in his eyes, and great knowledge. He looks at your Uncie and says, “Robert you may leave us for now. I wish to speak with the child alone for a few minutes.”

Your Uncie Robert smiles deferentially and leaves the room closing the door behind him. The headmaster looks at you and says, “I need to do a deep probe on your mind to see who your really are and make sure you are the type of person we want here. If you refuse you will be sent home with no memory of this. If you accept we can begin now.
