You and Rosie make plans for the evening

You take Rosie to your favorite local sushi spot. It's not particularly fancy, but the food is fresh and it's a good place for some quiet conversation. You have to stifle your laughter a few times as she fumbles with the chopsticks, occasionally dropping a salmon roll into her dish of soy sauce. She takes it in good stride, and soon she's laughing right along with you.

"It's good to see you laugh. You've been so stressed out about this presentation," you say to her.

"I know. I'll be so glad when it's over. I'm still nervous, though," she admits.

"No matter how this presentation goes, good or bad, you deserve a break. What do you say we go out for drinks tonight to celebrate?"

She looks at you for a second, unsure how to answer. "I... um, I would love to... but... I don't want to jump to any conclusions here, but... aren't you married?"

"It's okay. My wife is out of town on a business trip." Watching her brow furrow and the corners of her mouth turn down, you get the sense that this explanation isn't helping. "My point is that she is going to be out having drinks too with co-workers and business associates. I'm only suggesting that we should do the same. Is there any harm in that?"

Her skepticism starts to fade a little. "I guess not. Still, it doesn't feel right if it's only the two of us. It's not that I don't trust you. I do, but... I like you and I don't want to do anything that could cause any trouble for you at home."

"Don't you worry about that. Suzy isn't the jealous type," you reassure her, sensing she's starting to come around.

"Okay, but do you mind if I bring Ivy along?"

This was something you had not anticipated. Still, you don't see any reason to object.

"Sure, Ivy is welcome to come along. The more, the merrier!"

Rosie smiles and raises her water glass, "Alright, drinks it is."

"Drinks it is," you echo as you clink your glass against hers.
