You gulp nervously upon seeing how shook up she is about this. You move your hands upward so that one rested on her lower back and the other higher up, by her shoulders. "Yes." You say softly into her ear. "I came inside you."

"W-we didn't use protection...and I'm not on the pill or anything." She shivers a bit and you hold her closely, wanting to let her know you weren't going to freak out on her. The implications hadn't totally hit you yet, as your mind is still dazed from what you two just did, but you do have the general idea. "And this was the wrong time of the month for this...oh God, oh God, oh God."

"Shhh." You whisper to her. "It's all right. Don't freak out."

"Don't freak out?" She asks into your shoulder worriedly. "How can I not be freaking out? Why aren't you freaking out?"

"Because we don't know anything yet." You say. "It's no use getting worked up over something we don't know even happened." She clenches up at your words.

"How can you be so nonchalant?" She exclaims. She isn't angry, but she does seem exasperated. The afterglow is quickly fading. "Jack...what we just did was great, but...what if you got me pregnant?"

"I'd do the right thing." You assure her. At least you thought it would assure her. The noise she makes doesn't seem to indicate as such.

"The right thing, huh?" She pushes away from you and you reluctantly let her go. She site straight up, which causes both your private areas to tingle. She does her best to ignore it. "What does that make me? Some duty you have to attend to?"

"That's not what I meant." You say quickly, noting the annoyance in her voice. You wish the blood would return to your head already so you think properly. "I only meant...that I won't abandon you if things get rough."

"If things get rough?" She asks.

"If you are pregnant...I won't leave you. I will stay by your side." You finish.

"And...what if I'm not pregnant?" She asks slowly, staring you in the eyes.

"Huh?" You ask.

"What if it turns out I'm not pregnant?" She repeats. "Will you...will you leave me then, Jack?"

"What?" You ask in surprise. "Of course not, Melody! Why would you even-mmph!" You are cut off as she leans in and kisses you deeply on the lips. You are too surprised to react and she pulls away before you can recover and kiss her back.

"I love you." She says quickly. "I don't even know how much yet. All I know is you are all I want, Jack." Her eyes are wet and her body is shaking, but she forges on. "I want you to to always stay by my side. I never...want to give you up. Especially not to any other girl."

"Melody..." You say back in awe.

"You don't need to respond yet. It's all right. But please...think about it, okay? I want to be your only girl. I want to be the only person you do this with. I want to be with you...for as long as I can, no matter how the results of what we just did turn out." She gives you a wayward smile. "I still need you, Jack."
