Maria stepped into the girl's locker room, both locker rooms led to the back of the gym, to the pool and the steam room, she knew that's where Jason had went. Once she stepped into the steam room, she saw Jason with his eyes glued to his feet.

"Sorry about that" said Jason

"It's okay, I understand why you were concerned" said Maria

"Look, Maria, I just don't want you to get in trouble, you'd be putting too much at risk for too little a reward, it won't be worth it" said Jason

"Jason, I understand you're concerned for me, but I've decided I'm going back tomorrow night" said Maria

"Why? Why not just go to an arcade? Or a smoothie shop?" asked Jason

"Because I am sick of everything in this damn town. Jason, in that club, someone actually talked to me instead of just grunting at me, they actually talked to me like a normal person" said Maria

"I do that" said Jason

"I know, but..." said Maria, lost for words, she didn't want to hurt Jason's feelings, but at the same time, she didn't want to stay in the town.

"I wish you understood" said Maria

"How can I understand when you don't open up? Every time someone tries to help you, you just shut them out. It doesn't make sense how stubborn you can be. Just listen to me and don't go back to that club" said Jason

Maria glared at Jason before responding.

"You know what, Prince..." said Maria, Jason was taken aback, Maria only addressed him by his surname when she meant business.

"I am fucking sick and tired of everyone telling me what to do! I'm 18, I can make my own decisions, you don't own me" said Maria

Maria stormed off, leaving Jason alone in the steam room.
