After casting the spell, Rachel could feel new memories entering her mind. But just like she wanted, she could still remember her original memories too. Her life on campus overall was a little better in the newest reality. She still wasn't dating anyone, but she now had friends. Kat (which was the name that Katherine went by now) and her dorm-mate Ling Hong were Rachel's friends. She wasn't quite as close to Kat's boyfriend Tom Avery, but they were all part of the Goth crowd (the four-person Goth crowd), so she was more of a friend to him than any of the non-Goths on campus. She knew about Kat's three-way relationship with Tom and Brad, the jock who was secretly bisexual and sexually submissive. She also knew that Ling's parents were also Chinese, like her. That meant that changes were happening to people who weren't directly affected by the spell. But, of course, Rachel kind of already saw evidence of that earlier when Kat's former friend Amy showed that she thought Kat was normally a Goth.

Examining her memories (new and old), Rachel determined that Brad must have been the newest person to be branded. She would find the jock at Tom's dorm room, which (now that she had memories of the newest reality) she knew the location of.

So with that, Rachel hid the spell book under her bed, and headed out. But would Brad still be at Tom's dorm room when she got there?
