Courtney has second thoughts about stealing the info Rob needs. She goes to his office the morning of the party to tell him she can't do it. She tells him all the reasons she won't do it, and Rob counters each of her statements. In the end, Rob convinces her her actions will go unnoticed and no one will ever know.

Rob puts the necklace around Courtney's neck and the end drops between her breasts. Immediately, she knows this will be uncomfortable and says so. Rob removes it and doubles it up. He explains it will be annoying to remove, but will not hang so low. He wraps it around her neck and attaches the ends. She excuses herself, and makes her way to freshen herself. Rob had told her what he knew of the layout, and she finds her way to Davi's work area. After hiding in the bathroom across the hall, which was nicer than any she has seen, she quickly accesses the office. She pulls the necklace apart and inserts the flash drive into the computer. In seconds, she hears the hard drive spinning and the flash drive flashing. 2 minutes later, the flashing stopped and she removes the drive and reassembles her necklace. She realized she was perspiring from the fear she felt, and was glad it was done.

Slipping out into the hallway, she rejoins the party. There was no evidence she was missed, which calms her greatly. She mingles for another hour, taking an hor d'oeuvre here and there. She feels this would be a great party if she didn't feel like a spy.

Courtney pulls out the cellphone and calls for a ride back home. Davi walks by as she finishes and asks why she is leaving so soon. She tells him a story of an early meeting, and he says he is disappointed. He hands her a business card and tells her to call if she wants, as he will be having a less formal outdoor party in a week. She tells him she will consider his offer, and he walks her to the door.

The car pulls up as she leaves, and she is delivered back to her home. As it is still early, she changes into some less formal wear and goes to see Rob. Not expecting her, he opens the door in a robe. Courtney removes the necklace and hands it to him.

As she walks away, she feels free. Her corporate espionage days are over with the delivery of the data.
