She was waiting for you, smiling though you could see just a hint of nervousness in her eyes as the moment stretched on. The two of you had been working together for a week and if nothing else you found her attractive, her pale skin contrasting your dark pigment, the water of the shower giving her a glowing sheen over her breasts. Your lower belly felt warm from the way she was looking at you.

"Yes." You said, closing the distance between you for a kiss, ignoring the discomfort in your jaw as she returned it. Pressing you up against the shower's wall. "Adi? Are you in there?" Gwen's voice called out from outside Adi released your lips with a groan of displeasure.

"Yes mom!" Adi shouted back

"Don't get too clean! I need your help with something. Come on out. I'll explain on the way!"

Adi turned to you rolling her eyes.

"I'll come get you early tomorrow. I promise. It'll be fun!" She said, eyes practically glowing as she gave you a quick peck on the lips before going out to help her mother. As soon as she was gone you began rinsing off the soap when there were more footsteps. You turned around to see Lily leaning on the wall. You turned off the water.

"Did you say yes?" Lily asked and the pieces clicked together in your head.

"Yes. Did you think she would have done something if I hadn't?" You asked nervously

"No. I'd not have given her permission if that was the case." She started, her voice turning sharp, then softening as she continued. "But its not something I wanted to be wrong about. My daughter likes you Shandra. What I'm really here to ask is how you feel about her?"

"I-" You felt like you were in secondary school again but you had a feeling this was a little bit more important than asking someone to the Liberation Day dance. "I like her too."

"Good. I'm not expecting the two of you to get married in five months. I'll not hold it against you if it doesn't work out but I do want to give you a chance. You have my full permission to go as far as you want with my daughter." Lily said solemnly before giving you a smile. "Enjoy tomorrow. We've got a Jarl battle to prepare for at the end of the month so we might not get too many more rest days."
