Chapter 5
by Suckersoprano
Go with Hakan?
Yes.
“Where do you have to go?” Dago said, checking his watch.
Marian and Hans were probably the only people who knew that Dago couldn’t go outside during the daytime. Marian knew the truth of course, but Hans thought he had a sun allergy. That wasn’t even the half of it. He had to make sure where Hakan was going would be dark, or inside without chance of a window.
“I have to go to a rally in Berlin, it won’t take long, promise,” Hakan said.
“Berlin? But aren’t you from there?” Dago asked.
Hakan rubbed the back of his neck, “The last time I went to anything political there, I got shot, actually.”
“Shot? Damn,” Dago said, a bit shocked.
“Yeah, I was alright, though!” Hakan laughed.
“Alright, I’ll go with you,” Dago said.
Dago followed Hakan down to the portal rooms and into the night air of Berlin. It was cold, but that was something Dago was very used to. Hakan led him toward a group of people yelling things he couldn’t understand. Hakan hung by close enough so he could hear and pulled out a notebook and started scribbling.
Does this continue undisturbed?
