Chapter 11
by Suckersoprano
Does he follow the truck?
Yes.
Dago had no idea where to start looking for Natalie, but he figured he’d have the best chance following the people who had taken him as well. If anything, he knew they understood he was a vampire and would deal with him accordingly. He’d just have to be one step ahead of them, maybe two or three. He already had a leg up on not being restrained. He took off after the truck, careful to keep a decent distance behind it. It was like a bull in a china shop, he wasn’t worried about losing it. He could hear it miles away.
He stopped when he heard the engine shut off. He approached quietly and could see they had stopped in the center of a field. Two large men got out of the truck, all wearing crosses. They moved around to the back of the truck and that was when they realized Dago wasn’t in it anymore.
“Piece of shit got away!” cried one of them.
Dago could see the shining crosses around their necks. Damn, that meant he couldn’t drain them. It would be harder to hypnotize them as well, so he sat and waited.
“The boss is going to kill us, we had a lot of money riding on that pair,” moaned the other.
Dago really hadn’t considered before that he wasn’t human to a lot of people. That he was simply a evil being that should be eradicated. He frowned and peered around; trying to see if there was evidence of another truck or something that would lead him to Natalie.
Does he find anything he can track?
