Dago raised his hand and softly knocked on the door. There was some hurried speech and then what sounded like a goodbye. The door suddenly opened up and Natalie was on the other side.

“Oh, it’s you,” she said, sounding a bit annoyed.

Her expression changed from one of annoyance to one of contemplation. She peered up at Dago for a moment, looking like she was trying to decide something. She looked like she decided it.

“You can come in,” she informed him and allowed him entry into the room.

Dago didn’t say anything, but was surprised by the invitation. Natalie was pretty confusing when it came to how she approached things, he wasn’t sure if he was getting mixed signals from her or if he was seriously seeing something that wasn’t there.
