"No, because I've hurt her enough. I still feel guilty about letting her and Tom happen, I felt guilty just because I thought she'd regret it later. The fact that she in fact regretted it as it was happening makes it worse. So how am I supposed to tell her I still want to be with Miranda, as if I didn't consider myself lucky for having her?"

"She probably already knows. As cute as she is, she's not some little girl who needs protection from the truth, John. She's obviously not jealous, she's shared you with me just today."

"You don't count, Sarah. Don't give me that look, we're just friends, and Nicole knows that, the same way Nicole and Matt are just friends. It would be messy with Miranda, emotionally."

"All right, but for the record, Nicole told me she doesn't resent the thing with Tom because it brought you two together. Not that it wasn't an asshole moment, but don't let it mess with your mind."

"Oh that reminds me, I'm sure you wish that Nicole was a bit more excited to help you out with your masochistic streak. Have you considered seeing if physical pain works for you? Nicole might be more comfortable with some rough housing."
