“Sounds simple enough.” Monika nods. “Some reconnoitering followed by a little snatch and grab. 5,000 sounds right for the job, but I could use some coin up front, say 500?”

Nevin politely shakes his head. “Sorry, Red, no can do. Personally, I would take you at your word, but considering how your last job went down, your reputation for honesty isn't the greatest. I had to do a lot of convincing with the other investors to bring you in for ths job. They were adamant, however, cash only on delivery.”

“Hmpt.” Monika grunts in displeasure. She doubts there are any other investors and Nevin just made up this little story to keep things on the cheap. However, she is in hardly any place to argue. Her reputation isn't great and this is the only serious job offer in weeks.

“Alright.” The buxom bounty hunter yields. “Payment only when I return.”
