Chapter 2

Stay and wait for it to subside or run?
Where do Geeks always hide? The Lab of course!
John bolted out of the classroom. ‘I need to get somewhere I can hide,' he kept thinking. He decided the best place had to be the lab up on the third floor. Because, it was built by some big grant from some company, one may not enter without filling out tons of paper work. But he had done it so often the now he had his own key.
He got in quickly and locked the door behind him. His cock was still burning in his pants. He began to look around. He saw one of his experiments, which were next to one of the incubation chambers, had been moved to a table in the back. He went over to inspect the experiment that had replaced his own, curious as to who would disrupt “a fellow scientist’s” experiment. He noticed that their experiment had five little vials.
He read the labels softly, “Athenatonin pathogen, Metisatonin pathogen, Sekhmetanen pathogen, Chronisilia pathogen… What are these?” His curiosity had overwhelmed his sexual drive. “I know these are all brain chemicals used only in the most developed parts of the human brain, but none of these are supposed to be pathogens what are they doing in here. Well John, you are just going to have to test them to find out.”
He selected one of the vials and seized it. As he started to stand up, he heard the door slam behind him. “HOLY SHIT!” he cried. All his muscles clenched and the vial burst in his hand. He felt the glass cut him and the chemical it held burning his skin. He looked at the door to see who had entered. It is Karen Faulkner from Mrs. Thatcher’s science class. “Karen?!?”
“Yeah, John? What are you doing in here?”
"I came to work on a project but someone has moved all my stuff.” He motioned with his good left hand towards his displaced experiment. “I was looking at what it was they working on when you startled me and I broke this vial in my hand.” He showed her his bleeding hand.
“Oh dear, John, that is not good. I moved your stuff I need to be as close to the incubation chambers as possible. I was working on a process of creating some of the higher brain functions of humans in mice through engineered retroviruses.” She got a cloth and began to clean up the blood and chemicals.
“Why would you do that? Their brains are so much smaller even with the more advance structure they would not be able to use it.”
She started to clean the glass shards out of his hand. “I was still working on that part. I am not very far at all. I only gave any of them injections at lunch today. Look John, if you start to feel sick are anything, go to a doctor or at least Nurse Lascive, but if you can avoid it, do so, please. If word gets out about this, you know they will shut me down.”
“Yeah, sure I understand, Karen,” John responded.
“Thank you, John. Hey, which one was it anyway?”
Which vial had he picked up?
