Chapter 4
by gunde
Down which street does Druuna wander? Or does she walk inside the buildings instead?
West
Druuna decided to go west, heading towards the waterfront.
She was utterly surprised when she turned a corner to find herself looking straight at a vast cornfield, cultivated in what seemed to be a former square.
Moving on past the cornfield, anxious to find out who had planted it, she soon reached another square, this one even bigger than the hosting the cornfield.
On the square, a market-place seemed to have been established, with several stalls having been erected, containing various merchandizes, which people bartered over.
The buildings round the square seemed to have been at least partially cleaned-out and haphazardly restored, with wooden signs having been nailed onto several of them.
The biggest building was the one on the centre opposite side of the square, over which’s door a sign was placed, spelling out “Saloon”.
Druuna considered whether to enter the area or not, perhaps it was better to look elsewhere first, not simply wander down among the undoubtedly rough people visiting the marketplace and bar.
And if she did decide to walk down to the shanty-town, were would she go first?
To the market in look of interesting artefacts, or to the saloon and ask for information?
What does Druuna decide to do?
