Where Werewolves are people turning into wolf creatures because of a curse, Were-Woman/man involves a human changing genders because of a curse.

Typically this happens because the victim is scratched by a Werewoman/man. Then they find that either at nighttime or during a full moon they transform into the opposite gender.

Most common is werewoman, where a man turns into a woman. Typically the victim also gets an increase sex drive. While the curse is not typically sexually transmitted it is usually transmitted by a scratch by the afflicted.

Notable story lines are typically a person turning into a completely different person at night only to find themselves hanging back in the morning with no memory of what happened. Sometimes a victim will have knowledge of what happens, but has a lower level of self control when in their new form.
