Well, yeah, kinda weird

“This Wednesday night at 3 am, meet me in Jasper park.”

Tonya looks at me, plainly confused. “Well, that is random. And weird. Then what? And why at night?”

“Just meet me there.”

There is a mischievous glimmer in her eye. "Is this your way of asking me out on a date? Cuz no deal."

"It isn't a date."

“You are being so weird. What if I don’t go?”

“Then you violate the deal and you still owe me a favor. They are only going to get weirder.” She looks skeptical, not to mention a little concerned for my mental health. “Do we have a deal?”

"What? No! I can't agree to something so vague. You need to tell me more than that."

"I promise to keep you safe. And you can call it off at any time."

She looks at me for a while, not sure what the right question is. "Why are you being so secretive?"

"Well, it is sort of a game. I want you to have fun."

Another pause. "Who else is involved?"

"No one."

"And it is my favor to you, but it is a game made for me, and I can quit at any time?"

"That is a good way to put it. Yes."

"Promise that you are telling the truth?"

"Promise."

She is quiet and curious. She loves gifts, but hates being kept in the dark, but she only has to wait a few days. "Okay, I guess it's a deal."
