Chapter 5
by ShyBuns
Follow her?
Well, sure...
You call out to the woman and jog a little to catch up, stopping behind her as she turns to face you, resting her hand on her sword. "Well, what is it?" she asks, rather impatiently, forcing you to come up with an excuse for following her along. You quickly stammer out that you think you could use her help, and her yours, if she were willing. The woman sighs, reaching up and taking her helmet off so she can address you properly.
You're surprised to find a High Elf under that armor, considering their usual, stereotypical roles. Her hair is blonde, and hangs about her head loosely and wildly, as if she had little regard for it's neatness, but it does have a charm about it.. you're snapped out of your thoughts as she speaks. "What help can you possibly offer..?" she frowns upon you, expecting a convincing answer...
You, again, stammer horribly, a little intimidated by her stature, explaining that you're adept with your sword, and that it's dangerous to travel alone, something that's been in the back of your mind since you left town.. The Elf looks you over, thinking for a moment before putting her helmet back on. "You said you were good with that blade?" she points to your sword, then draws her own, setting her shield aside to even things slightly. "Prove it..."
Prove it?
