Chapter 3
by Bluequoise
What would you like for your strongest tool of influence?
Wall Flower, I blend in anywhere
"So you think you're invisible? That can be quite the tool depending on where you want to take it. Honestly the ordinary girl next door can bloom into the most amazing person, or the most extraordinary life if you play your cards right and have an exploitative focus.
"Most of the time though girls who live in the background think less of themselves than they are, getting themselves caught into a vicious cycle of self-depreciation, longing to be something else...something "more".
"Don't worry your pretty little head too much over it, John, you're more amazing that you realize. The only one holding you back is yourself, and you'll realize that someday."
I am nothing special, I never really was. I was born as the middle child in a family of 7. Which makes my parents weird and kind of cool at the same time, but means that there are at least 6 more people in the world JUST LIKE me and I don't even stand out among them.
We never really had much money, but we also were never starving. I just got to live wearing the hand-me-downs of my older sister and in turn giving my younger sisters the dresses and pants after I was done with them.
My two older brothers, Joseph and Jeff, were twins did everything together like they were joined at the brain. They were also the eldest which was nice that they split that typical bossy first-born act between the two of them and instead were just pretty cool.
Just older than me was my older sister Janice. I would describe her as bookish, she'd not really super smart but she loves reading and writing stories. She would sometimes keep me up or help me fall asleep with stories when we were little. But she's also kind of my best friend.
Behind me came another three sisters: Sophie, Beth, and Deborah (she got the cool name), all of them were pretty much the same and really different at the same time. They were all born pretty close together and fought over everything, but you couldn't get them to play separate games either. All of them were also really sporty, but each like different sports so they fought about that growing up too.
Dad worked in a local hardware store, and Mom worked in a fabrics and craft store. Mom grew up with a sewing hobby, which was how most of the girls got any time with Mom was to do craft projects with her.
Which projects were your favorite?
