Walking into the flames

The woman shoves Bella down to the dirt, slashes the tires of the police cruiser, yanks the keys out of the ignition, and drives away leaving Bella stranded on a rural road.

Bella wouldn't have stopped the woman if she tried. Bella would've ended up with a bruised face, or worse, a bruised ego, due to the woman's height advantage.

Bella scavenged what she could out of what was left of her police car. A taser, rescue blanket and nothing else. She then makes the long trek on foot to a small town, which at dusk, an orange glow outlined the trees and buildings. The town was literally on fire and Bella was blindly walking into it.
