I use the bathroom and give my morning wood some time to shrink down.

Tonya shouldn't be back until the afternoon, so that had to be Mindy. There was some time between hearing her gasp and her footsteps. She must have been checking out my junk for a while. How long? Minutes? Just standing in the doorway staring...at a man's hard-on...in her daughter's bed.

I wash my face to clear my head or this erection will never go away.

I wake to the smell breakfast cooking. I roll over and blink at the blue morning sky out the window. The trees are green and birds are singing. I marvel at how different it all seems from yesterday.

I wander into the kitchen and am greeted with a cup of coffee. {if tonya_bed = true}Mindy hands it to me awkwardly, not making eye-contact.{endif}

“Oh, perfect. Thank you,” I say, taking a sip right away and sitting at the table. {if mindy_puzzle = true}The puzzle has already been moved out of the way.{endif}“Have you been up long?”

“A while. Your laundry is almost done. I hope you don’t mind that I got your gym clothes from your car, too. I already feel bad enough that you don’t get to go to the gym as much anymore, and after you dropped everything and stayed over yesterday, it was the least I could do.”

“Oh, thanks! You know... Instead of the gym we could do another endurance workout...”

“No thanks. I’m resting until our Monday session.” She puts a full plate of food in front of me and goes about washing dishes and looking out the window.

“Aren’t you eating?”

“I nibbled already. I’m not as hungry as I thought. Eat up.”

I look at the breakfast and wonder if she is assuaging her guilt about ‘taking advantage of me’ yesterday. How far can I push things...?

Mindy winks at me. “Save it for next time,” she says, then can’t help but blush at her own own response.

“Nope. Not until Monday, coach.” She puts a full plate in front of me and sits in her usual spot. I realize that I am in my usual spot next to her. It is a comforting feeling.

“Gym it is then.”

“What else do you need to do today?”

“Finish the delivery, visit Lewis... then just catch up on a few things at home.”

“That sounds like a full day.”

“How about you?” I ask. Mindy tells me about a few small things she plans to do, but I get lost in my own thoughts about the conversations I still need to have with Tonya and Lewis, and how the day I just spent with Mindy could complicate things.

The clothes drier buzzes. Mindy gets the clothes for me as I finish my breakfast.
