Waking Up
Hehrakkess woke to the sound of hand harp and singing in Drow, the song was darksome and sad sounding, but also longing and beautiful. He opened one great draconic eye and saw Illiamdia'ae sitting nearby singing while she strummed the harp, made all of darkwood and strung with silver strings. He simply waited for the song to finish then stretched lazily and greeted his guest.
"What is the hour oh-singer?" He asked in his native tongue.
"It approaches noon milord. If we are to get started today we must be about it shortly..." Illiamdia'ae replied in draconic, and put the harp away into her magical backpack.
"Where are the others and have my kobolds given you any more trouble?" Hehrakkess asked.
"The Others are standing Guard, and a few Kobolds have tried to make trouble but we merely erected a magical barrier and kept them out." The drow replied.
"Humm," Hehrakkess buzzed in his throat, "I think we cannot start today, we must convince my Kobold minions to go along with the new way of living. That is best left to me, you and the others stay in my chambers and keep keep track of my progress via scrying. I will go among the kobolds and call them to meeting to discuss their further service. Even if I am no longer Masterful I am still Honorable, and as such they should obey their oaths to serve me. Those that do not, I will give the choice of liberty or ****, they leave my service to find a new employment or I will kill them. It is to be hoped that they will chose liberty." He explained, and then went out of the chamber.
Shortly Hehrakkess stood before the barrier blocking the way that led out of his personal spaces into the rest of the complex. Zebeythrae'oyss and both McDonald sisters stood their ready to rain hell on the Kobolds gathered on the other side of the paper thin but iron hard sheet of **** which blocked their advance, for the moment...
"Hello my rather disobedient subjects!" Hehrakkess called out to the kobolds on the other side But though he saw them cheer he could only hear the faint and distorted sound through the rocks.
"Drop the barrier, if they so much as touch you they will answer to ME..." Hehrakkess stated and with a word and a gesture Zebeythrae'oyss dissipated the wall of ****.
Hehrakkess was quick to prevent ****, "NO ONE MOVE!" he bellowed in draconic. The Kobolds froze, the adventurers clasped their hands over their ears.
"These ladies have come here on a diplomatic mission and approached peacefully to which you all have responded with ****, yet, even so: they have not slain anyone, and for that you all had better be incredibly fucking grateful. Spread the word, we are meeting in the grand hall, and I will then outline the plan which the ladies have proposed and I have accepted. I then will explain these newcomers position in our new society. Also, make all my subjects aware that I give them only three options with regards to the plan: Compliance, Liberty-slash-Exile, or ****, these are their choices." Hehrakkess explained and stalked through the crowd of armed kobolds like a ship parting the waves of the sea.
