Wake up

Kyas eyes opened with a sting as the sun pouring through her window blazed her face. Usually, Peter would be there to block the onslaught of sunrays, but he wasn't there today. With a growl and sigh, Kya rolled to her side to regain her bearings and collect herself. She probably could have slept for quite awhile longer.

Rolling to place her feet in the ground, she finds her slippers. Kya lets out a ginormous yawn before standing up, and grabbing her light pink robe. She wrapped it around her wrinkled and jumbled up lingerie and proceeded to go look for her fiancee.

As she arrived downstairs, on the table was a note. Typical Peter. Kya grabbed it and held it up, giving her eyes a minute to readjust. "Gone running. Sorry for no breakfast. Love you." It read, darted all over the page, looking written in a hurry. "Whatever." Kya mumbled to herself. The whole time she's known Peter he never cared for exercise, until he got laid off, now he sporadically picks it up and down and what seems like the worst times.

Kya got back to her feet, and walked to the kitchen. "He couldn't even make some coffee.." she said as she started to brew a fresh pot. Kya walks around her house, biding time until her coffee is ready. She walks by her computer, and smiles. The proactive decision to work on her documents last night should go a long way.

As Kya goes back to the kitchen for her coffee, something outside her window caught her eye.
