Venus is marked

"Very well," Venus said, accepting the offer of the Blacklock marks. Taka seemed particularly overjoyed by this news, grinning and watching with delight as Saraf gathered up the necessary components. In the meantime, Venus took a seat nearby, watching as the shaman prepared the paints. As she guessed by their name, the paint was a deep black color, but even she could sense the latent magical energies surging into the bowl as the shaman performed the ritual to imbue the paint.

With a small sigh of regret, she sat still as the shaman dabbed up the paint, reaching out and beginning to run it across her body. Saraf took his time, carefully drawing the goblin markings onto her. To her, they seemed like black claw marks more than anything else, but she could also feel the power behind them beginning to trickle into her as the shaman continued the ritual. Already, she began to notice her own physical power and prowess increasing.

All in all, it only took an hour for the shaman to finish the ritual and make the last touches on those tribal markings that now marked her as a woman of the Firebrand Tribe. Looking down at herself, Venus had to admit that there was a certain appeal to the markings, though she was certain that she would still have to come to grips with the fact that they were permanent soon enough. For now, though, she took comfort that they would aid her in her mission to destroy Lycaon.

Turning back to Taka, she smiled a little, "What happens next?"
