Up the manure pile and through the hole

You hope the stench is worth it as you climb up the pile of shit, hay and even an old boot you notice with grim amusement. The climbing is difficult because your legs sink up to the thigh with each step. You have to use your spear and shield as supports as you climb higher but soon you reach the top of the mound, you can see what looks like an empty barn through the hole above your head. The only way you can reach the lip is by standing on your shield. You hate to have to leave it, but you have ****, you can hear the bloodthirsty yells of the boys as they enter the alley see you getting away from them. Pushing your spear through the hole and turning it sideways you have a good enough grip to swing your legs up into the barn. Inside the barn is a large hatch that can slide into place covering the hole. As you fasten the hatch securely in place you hear the sounds of pounding on the wood. You don't know which offends you more: the smell of being covered in manure or the knowledge that the finest of Hellopolis just ran from 10 year old boys armed with wooden sticks.

Except for a large charcoal colored cat that is eying you with distaste, this level of the barn appears to be deserted. All sorts of tools are hanging from the walls; shovels, hoes, pitch-forks and many others that you do not even recognize. Several different ladders lead to what appears to be a hayloft above you and there is a ramp leading down to large opening to your left. After a few minutes, the pounding on the hatch dies away and you are left in the empty barn to think over your options. You have to clean this crap from your body and you are getting hungry. A drink would go well with the food, and a girl to bring you the drink would be nicer. So far, except for the axe, your plundering has not been very successful. But it is early yet and there my be something of value in the building attatched to the barn.
