Unknown Visitors

After the door slammed Kate quietly waited to see what else would happen, when suddenly knocking on the front door made her jump out of her skin. Settling down, Kate went to see who was at the door. Opening it up, there stood two women, an old one and a woman who looked to be in her late twenties.

“This house doesn’t belong to you! Leave it in peace! Leave it in peace!” The old woman kept shouting the same thing until the other woman steered the old lady away, mouthing “We’re sorry.”

Frightened, Kate locked the door after closing it. For the rest of the day, she might not get the image of that lady’s wrinkly sunken face with pale glassy-like eyes, so full of vitriol. Well, it’s nine in the morning. Kate’s work will keep her focused.
