Turn the Bitch Down

"I'm sorry, Tanya," you manage, "But I can't do this."

She looks up at you with a mix of confusion and anger on her face. "What do you mean, "you can't do this"?" she asks, a bit of venom in her voice. "Do you want us to fail the assignment?"

"Well, I guess if I have to then I will. Tanya, you were a total bitch to me," you say in an even tone. "You were cold and heartless and cruel, and I can't see myself sharing any kind of intimacy with you after that."

She appears truly surprised by your words, then sadness enters her eyes. "Did I really hurt you that badly?"

"Yes, you did. I guess I should be going now," you say, but she grabs your hand before you can turn around.

"Wait. Don't go. I CAN'T fail this assignment! I'm in danger of not graduating as it is, and this would put me over the edge. Please?" she asks, using her doe-eyes as effectively as possible.

"I don't think this is a very good idea, Tanya," you reply. "I'm going to leave now."
