Try for the great betrayer

"I'd love to get my hands on Har'Amaden, do you think we can use this?" Even though Antonios only recently transferred to your squad you trust his judgment more than any of your other men's. You study the man as he thinks quietly. Stroking his perfectly trimmed beard with his long manicured fingers. You knew better than to try to rush Antonios. In the month you've known him he has never once made a rash decision.

You weren't sure he would be accepted by the rest of the squad, he was cultured while they are brutish. Antonios read philosophy while most of your men could barely sign their names and he would spend his pay on fine dining while your men would head to the nearest brothel. Despite these differences he quickly became a favorite of the men; he was friendly and generous and was willing to do all the unpleasant tasks that needed to get done.

When he asked to join your squad you demanded a reason, you wanted to know why he wanted a transfer out of the command tent and back into a position where he could be killed in any number of ways. He showed portrait he wore in his locket and told you that his sister had been captured from a ship when she had been travelling to visit her aunt.

Antonios had a better understanding of the political situation in this city than any other man. He knew, even before the official orders came down, that you would be the first men from the united army to reach the southern part of the city. He asked for the transfer so he could find his sister before the rest of the army did, but you guess he would like to capture Har'Amaden as much as anyone. After about a minute of thought he turns to you and nods with a thin smile.

"I think we can use Sophia to lure the snake out of his hole. Let's go talk to her."

"Come to the Master's room at the head of the stairs." You tell Antonios, seeing his hesitation you continue. "I want her to have no doubt that her daughter has chosen to join with us. That may rattle her a little and then when she is on her high horse will show her what kind of man her husband was."

Antonios stroked his trimmed beard slowly as he thought over the implications of your words. "It's a gamble." He said finally, "but it might do the trick."
