Try beer

She wasn't so sure she should push her way into someone else's kitchen, so she decided to stay near where she was and try beer. The faintly metallic scent was unfamiliar, but everyone around her seemed to be enjoying it, so it was worth a shot; Megan snuck as best she could over to the people pumping beer from the keg to get one for herself.

"C-can I have one?" she asked once she was there, not noticing people just taking them from wherever the pourers were setting them.

One of the guys pumping looked up. He gave her a once-over, smirked and took a moment out of his busy party schedule to hand her a cup. "Sure - go for it." She took it and hurried away, still a little awkward and shy-feeling about being at her first party by herself. In a corner of the room, she settled herself down and took a sip of the beer.
