Truth...

"W...well I..." You stammer nervously, still unsure if this was the right choice...

"Come on John, out with it! I want to know..." She interjects impatiently...

"I..." You sigh, trying to come up with am amazing way to phrase this knowing it's your only chance...

"I think you're the most beautiful girl in the world Sam..." You finally manage to blurt out...

Her eyes grow a bit wide at your revelation...

You decide to keep laying it on...

"Our friendship is really important to me too, but I always look forward to seeing you.amd spending time together... Even when we were little kids I always found myself craving to be around you... And now that we're older I... I guess that feeling has translated into something more mature... I feel like the luckiest guy in the world that you choose to spend time with me and to be... Well to be honest... Maybe I would like to be more than just friends with you..." You say, a weight seemingly lifting off of your soul...

A silence fills the air in her room as the two of you sit there quietly... You praying that she agrees, her obviously trying to compute the feelings you just shared...

"I..." She says, struggling to find the words...

"I guess I never realized that John... I...I'm sorry if I seemed to have ignored that fact that well... You're a guy and I'm a girl... I guess it's natural for you to feel that way... You are my best friend John... And I love spending time with you too... I just... I've thought about it too..." She tells you...

The sound of those words and the admittance of her feelings for you sets off fireworks in your mind! The high you feel right now in this moment you never want to have end... Your whole body feels like a celebration, goosebumps and shivers from the nerves of having told her how you feel spread throughout your body and mind as she continues to speak...

"I care about you John..." She tells you, a small tear forming in her eye... "And I just...I just worry that something might happen and we couldn't be friends anymore... It would hurt me so much to lose you..."

"Sam..." You say softly to console her and assuage her of her fears as you reach your hand up to her shoulder... "I would never let anything come between us... You mean so much to me... If you think about it we've really already spent years of our lives together haven't we? And we haven't lost each other yet... Why would we start now when we're just now discovering that our bond could become even stronger..."

Sam smiles at your kind-hearted, meaningful, and most of all... True words... She wipes the tear from her eye before pulling you into a hug...

"Are you sure this is what you want John?" She asks, still breathing heavy and sniffling from almost crying...

"Of course... This is what I want more than anything in the world..." You tell her as you stare into her eyes...

Sam smiles before hugging you...

"Well... If that's the case... Maybe you.should spend the night... We could... Try and mature our friendship just like you said your feelings have..." She tells you with a coy smile and an innocent looking blush...

"I'd like that..." You tell her...

She releases you from her embrace and the two of you sit there together
