In many forms of erotica the transformed individual is a person who feels they were born the wrong gender. This person may not realize they are trans. In plenty of erotic fiction this individual is the victim of a transformation, but quickly realizes that they don’t want to go back to who they once were. There are plenty of stories where they make a wish only for the wish granter to see the true desire in the person’s soul. Typical lines will involve the transformer saying “You know you this is how you should be” or “I can see you never felt right in your old body”.

In the case of a person looking to change their gender this can be done in a variety of ways including the realistic gender change surgery. Though most fiction will usually stick to advance sci-fi technology or simple magic. A man might wish upon a Star to be a princess, only for a magic fairy to drop from the sky and turn him into a beautiful woman.

These stories don’t usually display the gritty of having to deal with being trans and instead focus on magic-like solutions. Though this is not necessarily always the case.
