Chapter 3 by Chicklet Chicklet

Where has she decided to go?

To Julie's place.

Dawn headed the car towards Julie's place, turning down the familiar roads, smiling at the familiar sights. This neighborhood was full of memories. There was the place she and Julie had put up a lemonaid stand and no one had bought any. There was the place that Julie had fallen off her bike and broken her arm. It had been too long since Dawn had seen her friend; Quentin hadn't liked her to spend time with other people.

Soon Dawn was pulling into Julie's driveway. There was a car parked in open garage, a blue toyota that Dawn didn't remember. Music was blaring from the inside of the place. Turning the engine off, Dawn got out of the car and walked slowly up to the door. She rang the doorbell and waited.

No one answered, and Dawn felt a strange feeling in her stomach. It wouldn't be fair for Julie not to answer right now; Dawn really needed someone's shoulder to cry on. Pursing her lips, Dawn rang the doorbell again, and knocked. Still no answer. Tentatively, Dawn reached out and tried the doorknob. The door was unlocked, and she took an unsure step inside.

Inside the house the music was even louder, the bass seeming to throb in her whole body. Dawn's bones were shaking and thumping as she made her way into the abode, looking left and right for her friend.

She paused, wondering if she should go on. Who knew what Julie was up to...she might not even want visitors. Shaking her head, Dawn decided that whatever Julie was doing, Julie would still welcome her on such an unhappy day. Knocking once, Dawn opened the door to Julie's bedroom.

What is Julie doing in the bedroom?
