2126: The Babylon 1 Space Station is destroyed by the last remaining remnants of The Global Sedition Terrorist Organization.

April 2126:

• The Global Information Network more commonly known as The Infonet replaces the now obsolete Internet.

May 2126:

• The Co‑operative Republic of Guyana and The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela merge to form The Republic of Taribia.

2127: With The Loss of Protoculture Technology and The Depletion of Earth's Fossil Fuels, Humanity has turned to The Last Abundant Source of Energy... Solar Power. A plan is developed to build a Solar Power Generation System based around Three Orbital Elevators.

• Olympus Tower, The Orbital Elevator controlled by The Global Superpower that would come to be known as The Union is situated near The Border of The Modern-Day States of Brazil and Colombia within The Amazon Basin.
• Tenchū, The Orbital Elevator controlled by The Global Superpower that would come to be known as The Human Reform League, is situated on An Artificial Island near The Real-Life Nation of Nauru, North of The Solomon Islands in The Pacific Ocean.
• La Tour, The Orbital Elevator controlled by The Global Superpower that would come to be known as The Advanced European Union, is situated West of Lake Victoria, Near The Border of The Real-Life African States of Uganda and The Democratic Republic of The Congo.

2128:

February 2128

• The Advanced European Union, A Supranational Politico-Economic World Power rises consisting of most of The Nation States in Europe and some of the territories of Africa.

April 2128

• In response to the formation of the The Advanced European Union, The United States and it's allies band together to create The Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations centered primarily around The United States, Japan, and Australasia.

2129: A strange pattern of unusual Weather begins to emerge.

2130: The Russo-Anglo-American Alliance-Chinese Hegemony War ends.

2131: Six Months after The Russo-Anglo-American Alliance-Chinese Hegemony War ends a New Global Power rises to prominence in Europe known as The Human Reform League, Comprising Russia, China, and India at it's Core.

2132: The Central Education Bureau is created to manage and control all aspects of Child Education.

January 2132: The Solar Power Wars Begin involving both Pro and Anti-Elevator Factions, centered around The Protection of The Orbital Elevators.

• Cynthia Renee and the future Cyndi Cross/Masters is born.
• The Orbital Elevator controlled by The Union in South America is completed.

September 2132:

• The Republic of Moralia is Established as an Independent and Neutral Country.

2133: A New Sport is introduced and quickly sweeps across The World. It is called Tsunkatse and it is similar to Boxing or Mixed Martial Arts.

In Tsunkatse, Two Contestants battle in a Suspended Spherical Arena known as The Atlasphere which is laden with booby traps, a 360° Gravity Field and are protected from falling by an Energy Net while wearing Polaron Disruptors on their hands and feet, which deliver a jarring but Non-Lethal Bioplasmic Charge on contact with their opponent's target sensors, located on the sternum and between the shoulder blades. The object is to attack the opponent's sensors while defending one's own. Tsunkatse is considered more civilized than previous Martial Arts-based Sports of the previous Millennia but as with any athletic format involving trained fighters there still exists the potential for injury and even ****.

2134: The Human Reform League's Orbital Elevator off The coast of Australia is completed.

2135: Formerly, Neutral... The country Moralia is taken in by The Advanced European Union after recent conflicts with The Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations.

2136: The Human Reform League constructs The Space Colony Quanqiu at Lagrange Point L4.

September 2136:

• In just three short Years Tsunkatse replaces Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts, and all other Martial Art and Fight-based Sport Formats as The Dominant Combat Sport.

2137: Record highs are observed in the birth of those possessing Superhuman abilities and the people fearing a forth world war demand action. The President of the time institutes Mandatory Genetic Testing, Quarantine Protocols, Social Reforms, and implements research into The Superhuman Phenomenon.

2138: A cure is sought by The Scientific Community for the so-called "Mutant Disease."

2139: The Republic of Taribia provokes The Union into an Armed Engagement by declaring secession in protest of The United States' Monopolization of The Energy supplied by its neighboring Orbital Elevator.

2140: Completion of The Orbital Elevator belonging to The Advanced European Union, which has been plagued by Financial and Labor problems since it's Inception is further derailed by a vicious attack by unknown forces believed to be working for or in some way affiliated with The Human Reform League but this remains unproven.

2141: Riots break out all over The World protesting the treatment of Superhumans.

March 2141:

• The GSA (Genetic Security Agency) and The Mutant Response Division or M.R.D. is formed to deal with those deemed to be in possession of "Deviant Genetics."

2142: Tsunkatse makes it's Debut as an Olympic Sport and after the largest fan attendance of all time it cements its place as a permanent part of The Olympics from that point on.

September 2142: The Solar Power Wars End.

• The Central Education Bureau begins integrating Schools all across The Globe combining The Traditionally Separate Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle School, High School, and College Divisional Learning Centers into one organized and highly efficient educational institution of higher learning.

2143: The Orbital Elevator belonging to The Advanced European Union is severely damaged by a glancing hit from a misfiring Satellite Weapon Belonging to The Union, causing The Elevator to initiate The Outer Wall Auto-Purge Program in order to keep the remaining Elevator infrastructure upright and balanced. Over 180,000 Civilians are killed trying to evacuate while Millions more are endangered in the city at the base of The Tower. Only by the combined efforts of The AEU and The Union shooting down the falling debris was the city saved. After the incident, The Tower remained connected to outer space, although most of its outer wall had been purged and fallen to Earth. Four months later, The Electrical and Linear Train Systems were restored.

2144: A Laboratory belonging to The Human Reform League's Super Soldier Special Duty Organization is destroyed at the hands of a combined **** **** belonging to The AEU and The Union. One of the few instances where the two powers agreed on anything.

2145: Discord grows from The Most Popular Proprietary Freeware Instant Messaging and VoIP Application and Digital Distribution Platform in The World to a Global Superpower centered around Worldwide Telecommunication, Virtual Education, Business Management and Next-Generation Gaming displacing all other platforms in those respective fields. As a Neutral Global Entity, Discord eventually becomes The Cayman Islands of Information Storage and Data Trading. The Now Newly Christened Discord International is touted as a safer more secure alternative to The Cloud. Someone with A Discord Pass (A Specially-Encoded Digital Access Card Bearing The Company's Logo) can talk to any one in The World from wherever they happen to be, access files from work or their own private information server, transfer money from their account to anywhere in The World, play the latest games at the press of a button, and so much more, All they need is a Pass and access to a computer. What could be simpler?

2146: Rising tensions between The Human Reform League and The AEU and The Union prompts The Union to create The Anti-Mobile Suit Investigative Squad special forces unit consisting of ace pilots from all over The North American Continent and The HGL to create The Chobu, a Special Forces Unit comprised of HRL Super Soldiers.

January 2146:

• Discord begins work with a New Generation Diamond Semiconductor Central Processor. The Design of which is anonymously donated by an unknown party who mysteriously breaks through all of Discord International's security firewalls only to leave the design for the new processor on the department manager's work station computer with a simple note... "ENJOY!" The Company has never been able to find out how their systems were penetrated or by who. The only clue to The Hacker's Identity is A Black Rook used as a Signature.

May 2146:

• After extensive Virtual and Real-World Testing, Discord International begins Clinical Trials of it's Full Dive Interface System.

2147: It is discovered that The Atmospheric Reclamation and Pollution Alleviation Technology implemented in 2016 which allowed Humanity to reclaim The Earth by 2022 after The Disastrous Nuclear Fallout of The 3rd World War left the surface of The Earth a sparse, barren desert and **** the remnants of Humanity into huge technologically sophisticated Domes has had a number of unintended side effects... One being radically altered Meteorological (Weather) Phenomena namely Sudden, Unpredictable and sometimes Violent changes in Weather along with a High Average Global Temperature and High Humidity.

2148: New Beverly Hills implements The New Integrated Educational System mandated by The Central Education Bureau in which The Traditional Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle School, High School, and College Divisional Learning Centers are combined into one institution.

April 2148:

• Seventeen Educationally Integrated Learning Centers become open and operational.
• 17 Million People die throughout The AEU in an outbreak of D-Bacteria, A Bioweapon deemed to dangerous ever to be used and thought destroyed. The outbreak is believed to be a deliberate attack perpetrated by Terrorists but no one claims responsibility and so the whole tragic affair remains unsolved.

2149: The Ultra Exclusive Bayside Preparatory School is constructed on the grounds of an Enormous Castellated Mansion in upper New Beverly is refurbished to meet The Central Education Bureau's Criteria for Educational Integration and becomes a place where the children of The Super Wealthy can receive a Complete Comprehensive Education while surrounded by luxury and privilege.

February 2149:

• Four additional Educationally Integrated Learning Centers become open and operational in New Beverly Hills.

2150: It is proven that one of the technologies used to repair the damage done to The Earth by Mankind and their Wars, The Electromagnetic Shield designed to take the place of the fading Ozone Layer has caused a fundamental light shift in the spectrum of Earth's Sun coinciding with an increase in Superhuman Births. This shift also results in anomalous coloring of The Sky (Orange), Clouds (Pink and Red), and Sunlight (Green). A link was eventually found between the shift in the sun's spectrum and a newly discovered set of Mutagenic Wavelengths which affect Human DNA.

April 2150

• In Africa, Millions perish from the effects of exposure to unfiltered sunlight when The Electromagnetic Shield fluctuates for several minutes.

2151: Discord International announces a new generation of miniaturized supercomputer designed to take consumer experience to a whole new level. These computers are smaller, faster, smarter, and are designed with a revolutionary Dive System built-in. However, While they function like any ordinary laptop with the exception of their increased memory, speed, and user friendly functionality a user must have a Registered Discord Pass and a NervGear Halo to access The Dive System.

The Dive System's NervGear uses a Complex Web of High-Density, High-Efficiency Microwave Transceivers capable of accessing the wearer's brain, allowing it to isolate their mind from external stimuli while sending and receiving signals to and from all five senses. The transceivers are not only capable of inducing extremely realistic sensory signals but can also block movement commands from the brain to the body, preventing The Wearer from moving their body while Diving to avoid injuries. The transceivers are also capable of blocking sensory information from the body to the brain, thus, while using it, the player is completely insensate to the physical world.

The NervGear renders The Virtual World using Mnemonic Visuals, in other words, It uses The Wearer's own memories to construct The World in which they are immersed making the resulting Virtual Simulation of Reality practically indistinguishable from The Real World, as every object within The Virtual World is at the same level as the real thing in the NervGear Wearer's consciousness allowing Gamers to experience and interact with Games to an incredible degree not possible outside of a Virtual Arcade prompting the creation of VHRMMO (Short for Virtual Hyper Reality Massively Multiplayer Online) Games.

The NervGear's Design includes its own internal battery source and incorporates various sensors that continually monitor blood pressure and brain waves and provoke a safety logout feature in case the wearer's status becomes abnormal. This, by default, includes an option that saves and automatically logs out a person if their Avatar begins to fall asleep.

This Incredible Technology also includes Acceleration Software which accelerates the wearer's sense of time so that a Gamer can play for days while only minutes pass in The Outside World.

2152: Kimberly and Michelle, Twins are born to Cyndi and Marsellus Cross. Kimberly is the oldest of The Twins by 7 seconds and the only apparent difference between the two appears to be the color of their hair... Kimberly being a redhead and Michelle a blonde.

2153: Discord International releases it's new Virtual Privacy Software allowing it's Members to interact not only with each other on Discord's Servers but to invite other members to private "Rooms" where they won't be observed. The Applications for such software are obvious but Business is the main beneficiary of this technology allowing for fully interactive "Virtual Face-to-Face" Conversations from anywhere in The World.

As with any technology there is always the potential for hacking so security is constantly being improved. Users of this software can buy "Secure Rooms" which are invisible to everyone else without a valid invitation. Depending on your needs (Private Gaming to Corporate) you can purchase different levels of security.

2154: Aaron Eric Cross is born to Cynthia and Marsellus Cross on Tuesday December 10th at 3:51 in the morning at New Kingdom General Hospital. He is a beautiful and well endowed child with brown hair and blue eyes. He weighs 7 pounds and 3 ounces (3.3 kg).

2155: Aaron's Father, Marsellus Cross leaves only days after his Son's first birthday.

2156: Monica Masters, Aaron's half-sister is born. She is the Daughter of Cyndi by Garrent Masters who Cyndi had an affair with though she would not be accepted as a Masters until nearly five years later when Cyndi would marry Garrent.

2157: A Violent **** Epidemic sweeps across both The Union and The AEU involving PV-12 (Petylbivetic Viburnium), A Powerful Mind-Altering Psychedelic ****. PV-12 is made from a combination of Synthetic Materials and Natural Extracts obtained from The South American Colibra Vine whose Resin forms The Base for The Chemical Matrix of Viburnic Acid, A Potent Psychedelic in it's own right and The Essential Ingredient in PV-12. The involvement of The HRL is suspected but never proven. Note: It is worth noting that without The Múñez Formula of 2007 for The Comprehensive Photosynthesis of Resins PV-12 would not have been possible.

2158: Discord International unveils it's new Interactive E-Mail, In which Discord Users can access a specially generated Virtual Space while diving where they can record a message, which is then compressed into a Mail Format and sent to another user. When the receiver plays the file, The Sender's recorded virtual body and spoken message are reproduced. The Advanced Programming allows The Sender to convey video, audio, and even tactile sensation, giving sexting a whole new meaning.

2159:

Late December 2159

• Aaron is plagued by bouts of weakness, high temperature, and difficulty breathing so his Mother rushes him to The Hospital and after exhaustive tests Aaron is Diagnosed with Cerebellar Pilocytic Astrocytoma, A brain tumor but not like any anyone has ever seen before.

2160:

August 2160:

• Cyndi and Garrent Marry and she and her children move into The Masters Estate.

2161:

• Aaron is 7 Years Old and during the night he is awakened and rushing downstairs he saves his Sister Michelle from a burglar but he is nearly fatally injured and he is rushed to the nearest Hospital... All Souls Memorial Hospital where he spends the next three weeks virtually comatose.
• At almost the exact same time as Aaron's injury occurs (December 17th at 7:07 PM) Japan is ravaged by an Earthquake that tears open Tokyo's Kantō Region on December 18th at 9:07 in The Morning. The Earthquake which is rated an 11.4 in seismic intensity sinks nearly three-quarters (70%) of Tokyo into the Pacific Ocean and causes varying degrees of damage to the surrounding area. The Quake left as far as authorities were able to determine 1,148,364 either dead or missing but no one really knows for sure. Maybe the two events are a matter of extraordinary coincidence but then again maybe it is an **** example of The Butterfly Effect.
• During The Earthquake, A series of Red Diamond-Like Shards appear at Ground Zero of The Tokyo Quake and are distributed all over The World by the resulting Gravitational shockwaves.

2162:

January 2162

• During his stay in The Hospital, Aaron's hair darkens and his skin pales to unnatural levels, and his eyes change color from blue to yellow. The Doctors are convinced he is a Mutant or some other Genetic Deviant but all tests confirm that he is a Normal Baseline Homo Sapien.
• Aaron's unusual pigmentary disorder is found to be the result of a previously dormant and extremely rare hereditary condition inherited from his Biological Father.
• Aaron has recovered enough to return home at his Mother and Sisters insistence, and is released from The Hospital.

2163:

December 2163

• Aaron is 9 Years Old when he begins Registering The First of Many Patents at The Local Patency Office.

2164:

2165: With the rise of Tsunkatse, The Successor to Mixed Martial Arts as The World's Most Popular Spectator Sport Discord International releases it's new "Jack Patches" which wirelessly connect The Spectators to their Favorite Tsunkatse Fighter via The Neuro-Synthetic Grid of their Armor which is wired to the Fighter's Nervous System stimulating the Spectators with a Galvanic Impulse and boost of Adrenaline in Response each time The Fighter they're "Jacked" into takes a hit or connects with a blow. It's the next best thing to being there.

2166:

2167: Aaron's condition continues to Deteriorate and he is moved to a much disused Wing of The Masters Estate which is outfitted with the latest and best Medical Equipment for his treatment... At his Mother's insistence and transformed into a isolation room geared toward preserving a clean environment for Aaron and his weakened Immune System.

2168: Simone Kierian founds Pan Global Security, A consolidation of several existing intelligence services which by 2174 becomes The Premier Intelligence Agency in The World.

2169: At The Age of Fifteen, Aaron attends school sporadically.

2170:

2171: Comprehensive Interspecies Sexual Education becomes part of The Standard School Curriculum.

2172: Finally with The Assistance of Pan Global Security Authorities in Both The AEU and The Union are able to stomp out The Scourge of PV-12 once and for all or Do They?

May 2172

• At Eighteen, Aaron begins attending School regularly.

2173: Simone Kierian, The Founder of PGS (Pan Global Security) after nearly four years manages to get the heads of The Union, The AEU, and The HRL together under one roof for a Trilateral Security Conference. It takes almost 8 months but under her guidance The World's Three Global Superpowers hammer out a Peace Accord and thus begins a shaky but lasting peace.

2174 (The Present At The Beginning of The Story): Aaron Cross is Nineteen but he turns twenty December 10th.

July 2174

• The Special Economic Zone of Japan is built at The Epicenter of The Sinkhole that resulted from a Massive Gravitational Anomaly the cause of which is still unknown but which engulfed Tokyo nearly 15 years ago during The Great Tokyo Earthquake; An incident popularly known as "The Red Hole."
• Over A Decade later and The Kantō Region of Japan is still rocked by periodic aftershocks seemingly from The Original Red Hole Quake. The Micro-Quakes occur like clockwork, 10:10 to the second in the morning and at night and during each of these "Aftershocks" huge sinkholes open.

August 2174

• Officially known to the general public as The Special Mobile Investigation Forces Section 2; Tokko is formed to take over the investigation into the cause of The Red Hole Quake, The Mysterious Aftershocks that still plague Japan a Decade later, and the many strange incidents related to and surrounding The incident from Ten Years Ago including the opening of the huge sinkholes and the seemingly unnatural creatures that appear to emerge from them.
