Sam turned his head toward her, giving her an incredulous look. Did she think he was some sort of perv, and mistook his sister for a slut? How could she say such a thing, right in front of her to make it worse?

He looked at Cat, but she had no reaction, too busy hugging her living brother.

"She can't see or hear me. Nobody can but you, with a few exceptions." said the demon.

Sam didn't answer, still skeptical about the existence of the creature. Maybe he survived miraculously the crash but was growing a brain tumor? Anyway, it was probably better to ignore the voice in his head for now. He was happy to be alive, and enjoying the hug with his sister. He returned her embrace by wrapping his arms around her waist, and they staid this way for a moment until she broke it and straightened up, looking into his eyes with a concerned smile. "So, are you feeling okay?"
