Chapter 6 by hambo hambo

What do the thieves say?

This is all a misunderstanding

The two would-be thieves look at each other, fear spreading over their faces at the thought of being caught red-handed.

"Is this how you address your queen?" Asked Belinda angrily.

The two quickly dropped to their knees, avoiding eye contact.

"Forgive us your highness, we are but simple..." says the woman, her voice trembling with fear. She knew all too well what happened to thieves who were caught, but she and her accomplice had not eaten in a week and were **** enough to try anything.

Luckily for her, Belinda cut her off before she could spill the beans.

"Yes, you are simple. I should have you whipped for not showing me the proper respect I deserve, but I am in a lenient mood. What are you laborers doing here so early? The tapestries weren't scheduled to be cleaned until next week."

The two thieves look at each other and briefly smile, amazed by their good fortune.

"There... was a break in the schedule," said the man.

"Yes! And we figured her highness would want them cleaned sooner than later. I mean, no one wants to look at dusty tapestries..." said the woman, praying to all the gods that they would get out of this with their lives, and hopefully more.

"You have a point. I guess even low-born fools can have them from time to time," said the queen, not realizing how insulting her words were. "Very well. Take them away."

"Yes your majesty," said the female thief.

"And don't forget about the ones in my bedroom as well," said the queen, handing them the key to her personal chambers.

The two thieves looked at each other, flabbergasted.

"Now be off! I do not want to see either of you again," said the queen as she walked away.

"No need to worry about that," said the female thief, smiling ear to ear.
