They went for a walk.

Both Rab and Alora set off to enjoy the extra bright summer sun of the day. There was a light breeze, though it only faintly helped with the heat, but the air was fresh and smelled of blooming flowers. Others were enjoying walks as well, or going to and from their place of work. Though Rab was cooking beneath his coat, he was used to covering up, but Alora felt the cool breeze through her skirt and light clothing, so she skipped along with little strife.

Alora looked up at him with a toothy smile. "So what do you actually do every day? You got a job?"

"I don't do as much these days," he replied timidly. "Usually just small jobs that can use my skills. What about you?"

"I'm a noble. So I practice my magic and find people to talk to."

"You don't work then?"

"Not typically no. Well, it can be hard work talking to people all day! But they probably love me for it."

"You really are confident, aren't you?"

She's so full of herself, but it's kind of cute. There's something about her too. She's just trying to be positive. Anyway, it's strangely infectious, he thought.

After seeing her smile smugly at what he said previously, he asked, "So why did you choose to walk with me today?"

They slowly came to a stop, and she turned. "What do you mean?"

"Do you find me so handsome?"

Pink started to come to Alora's nose and cheeks. "Wh-What? No. Don't be so cocky. I was just bored. That's all. You're not the worst company ever, though."

So she can get embarrassed still.

"Is that why you're blushing?"

She rolled her eyes. "Whatever. It's just the heat."

"How can you be hotter in this weather than me if you're wearing such a tiny skirt?"

Alora's face turned red. "Oh you're the worst! Take that back!"

Rab chuckled. "Sorry. I'm just teasing. I didn't think you'd get so wound up after just a few words. Your skirt looks lovely, Alora. All of you does. Frankly, it's really difficult to speak so openly with you, especially without my hood."
