They get lost instead

The Recon Team makes good progress through the sewers. After half an hour of walking they still haven’t met a single Towerling. Some of the women even make jokes about Towerlings keeping away from here because of the stench.

At a crossroads Roxy jumps ahead and says, “We should go this way.”

“That’s not in the direction of the tower.” Kirie says.

“But my friends are over there.” Roxy says with concern. “They could be being chased by Towerlings as we speak. We need to go save them.”

“I’m very sorry about their friends, Roxy. But they are second priority, not primary.” Kirie explains. “We will help them only if we come across them on our way to the tower.”

Roxy hangs her head for a moment, then she says, “I think that tunnel leads to the tower too.”

“You think?” Eveline asks.

“I’m sure.” Roxy corrects herself.

Kirie and Eve look at each other then Kirie sighs and says, “Fine, we’ll go that way.”

On and on, Roxy guides them through the sewers. She has been in this city since the tower arose the longest. Apparently by spending most her time in the sewers. If anyone has any experience with navigating these tunnels, it should be her Kirie concluded. As Roxy guides the members of Rose squad she seems to find it no issue her breasts sway freely. The longer Elliot looks at them, the more she feels a desire to hold them in her hands just once.

After about two hours of this Roxy suddenly stands still and has a worried look on her face.

“Wait, I don’t remember this place.”

“What do you mean, you don’t remember?” Kirie asks.

“I … I think we made a left turn too many.” Roxy says. “Or maybe a right turn too few. Oh gosh, I don’t know where we are any more.” Roxy then sits down and starts crying.

Lina runs up to Roxy and says, “Don’t worry, Rox. We’ll find a way out of here. If anything, you got us closer to the tower at least?” while patting Roxy’s head.

Kirie takes Lizette aside and asks her, “How far until the tower.”

Lizette takes a map from one of her pockets and studies it for a while.

“If I’m right we should be … 12 miles away from it.” Lizette says.

“Shoot, we should have been another 4 closer by now.” Kirie says annoyed.

Clarissa comes up to the captain and says, “Ma’m, sorry for saying, but Sasha and I are getting thirsty. Alice says she’s tired too and so is Frost. Maybe we should take another break.”
