They get interrupted

Before things could go any further, Ann heard a floorboard squeak outside their door. She had a good idea who it was.

Andy Burton had finished unpacking, and had been planning to check out the wilderness surrounding the cabin. The son of a retired Navy SEAL, Andy had inherited his dad's love of adventure and survival, though not his physiology.

Despite being a lightweight, he still tended to fantasize scenarios like those from Metal Gear or Samurai Jack. Plus, he'd had a crush on Paige Harlow for nearly six months, and this weekend, who knew how things would go? A soldier wannabe, and a martial artist . . . a match made in heaven, some would say.

Running a hand through his short red hair, Andy headed over to Paige's room, to see if she wanted to join him. As he headed down the hallway, he accidentally stepped on a floorboard that squeaked like a mouse under a sledgehammer.

"Idiot, and you call yourself a soldier," he admonished himself. "Tobias Rieper never woulda let himself screw up like that."

Opening Paige's door, he was shocked at the sight he saw: his crush, half-naked, being felt up by a blond cougar.
