"Look, I know it's a bit early, but we're having a open house party up at our place there, and its open if you want" CRAP!!! that sounded awful! thought Jen. They looked at each other, begging someone else to get them out of this akward situation. "Free wine and beer, too..." she let that one trail off. Their tone changed and they nodded appreciatively. "It's just starting, so you guy get first dibs on the booze."
"Alright!" cheered the big footballer. The others made other small comments of appreciation as they followed her up the path to the house. She loved living so near to the university...

Mark had been listening to what was said, and as soon as wine and beer was mentioned, he raced around and grabbed every drop of **** in the house and put it on the kitchen bench.  Music!  He darted over to the stereo and filed through the CDs.  Nick Cave...  Not really good for parties.  well, maybe goths.  Chilli Peppers?  Too agro for a party starter.  Ah!  Bobby Hughes Experience, some lazy funk!  perfect.  He flicked it on just as Jen led the party through the door.
"...so we thought, bugger it, a party!  Grab the next lotta people that walk past, and kick it off!"
"Nice attitude, babe!"  Mark looked over.  That footballer really was the quiet type.  They all fixed themselves drinks and settled on the couch.  The footballer was going through the beers, trying to find the nicest brew.  Jen climbed onto Mark's lap, snuggling up to him.
"So, this is Mark.  Mark, this is Lilly" The oriental girl gave a big smile and waved vigorously.  He grinned and nodded his head.  "Ryan"
"Hey dude"  the tall wiry bloke said
"G'day, mate"
"His girlfriend Amanda"  she gave a shy smile "And that's Ben over there swilling a beer"  Ben turned around mid-swill and tried to gargle a response, and failed miserably.  Beer poured down his front.
"Bugger!!"
"We're so glad you've come" said Jen.  Ben looked frantic
"No, no, I just spilt my beer."  Everyone giggled at the sexual undertones.
