Eric sits there on the phone waiting, and waiting for his flatmate to pick up, but nothing.

After a few moments he reluctantly puts the phone down, his concern about his predicament growing.

He's still in the middle of the jewellery store, with a pair of trousers that are not fit for purpose, and no one is answering the phone.
