Chapter 7
by SingingLark
Should Liandra wear one (or both) of the pearls during that night´s dinner?
The yellow hued pearl
It wasn't a trivial decision to wear one of the pearls, Liandra understood the risk. But she also though there was a tangible sense of urgency, and that the longer she waited, the worse it could get.
She took the yellow hued pearl, and gave a deep sight. By the dark elf words, to use the other pearl could make her lose control at such large social gathering, while this one merely meant she had to be careful.
"It is just a little thing... It wont feel strange at all" She closed her eyes, and rolled the pearl over her 'rose button'. So far, it wasn't bad. She tried to **** it in, but it felt strange, so she stopped. Her heart became a fire in a second. She tried to calm herself, tried to think of something else, but failed miserably. All her mind was set on the idea of having the pearl in her butt.
Holding the pearl in her left palm, she decided this time to try something different. She started to stimulate her butt entrance with her right index finger, and once again found this part... thrilling. Penetration was much worse, and she doubted there was a magic strong enough to make a woman desire this. But she would endure, she had to, to get her answers. She moaned when she removed the finger, and then quickly inserted the pearl in its place. Liandra felt an intense desire to expel it, so she inserted the same finger again, and pushed the pearl much deeper. She stroked her anus a couple of times, it was hurting, but she **** herself to clench the hole shut, and wait until she got used to the feeling.
Liandra washed her hand a dozen times, until she was satisfied it wasn't reeking. She put her gown, a discreet and elegant green gown that was light enough to be comfortable. it was Liandra´s favorite dress.
Dinner was supposelly an informal occasion, but several nobles joined her father´s table, and often discussed important matters. Liandra had long been disregarded as a pretty adornment, foolish and childish, but that night she carefully heard what everyone had to say. The royal magician spoke about a good omen, but Liandra could sense deceit in his words, he was trying to fool the court. The knight commander was asking the count palatine for more knights, and the princess could tell the Count´s excuse was pure bogus. A couple of nobles daughters made a comment to Liandra, and even their words had nothing but trickery in them. Another pair of nobles were commenting on the vices of Nocternia, without any knowledge of the matter. Liandra was glad she didn't chose the other pearl, and smirked slightly with the knowledge of her secret away magic item.
A young woman in leather armor strolled to the main table, and kneeled until the king finally acknowledged her. She was baroness Kendra the blackhand, a noble from Nocternia. There was a ruckus of blasphemous cursing, more then one knight swearing to kill the hallow heretic where she stood, but the baroness remained stoic against the onslaught.
She claimed certain border towns were being attacked by Drakes, and that immediate action was required. The Nocternian Empire was willing to handle the situation, but that meant a number of troops would need to go closer to the Luxian border. She merely wished to reaffirm the peaceful intention of Nocternia by adding a truce before making the military maneuver. It was a miracle that she could end before accusations of treachery started flying.
It wasn't a miracle, Liandra realized. It was magic. The baroness was obviously a black sorceress, and either she could block the pearl's magic, or she really had noble intent.
"Father, may I speak?" He was interested, and bid his daughter to come closer, and she came to stand by his side. "Baroness Blackhand, we heard your plea, but the Kingdom of Luxius is by no means a weak kingdom. So why, pray tell, would we entrust your troops over our own brave knights, who valiantly defended our people for several generations?" Her father smiled, and casually touch her back, praising "well said, my daughter"
the Blackhand didn't bulge, and answered "Then pity your knights against these drakes, and you shall see how short their gallant lances are compared to a fiery breath."
"But we also have archers, who can back the knights if needed be" But again the baroness seemed confident "Bravery and valor wrote much of military history, but not all."
"So here it comes the truth, then. You possess a weapon that we don't, either black art or mechanical terror that could defeat these drakes. Or perhaps tame them, to be later used against our troops" The court erupted in accusation and cursings, but before the pandemoniun could evolve any further the King quieted all with "Enough!"
Kendra was then distressed, and dropped to her knees saying "On my word, our intentions are pure. Your daughter guessed true, we do have a mechanical crossbow capable of hitting these creatures even when they are far in the sky. We have no intention of doing anything but help the people that live in that region" Liandra felt a tint of deceit, but couldn't figure how grave it was.
"Father... then I have a suggestion, if I may" the king gave his consent, once more touching her back. Only this time he left his hand there. Liandra felt a tinge of excitement, but found the Dark Elf grossly exaggerating on the effect.
"Kendra the Blackhand, your generosity is well noted, but we cant accept to have another fighting our wars. We can, however, offer you 200 bars of gold for the secret and a few samples of this weapon you describe, as many as you see fit, and perhaps enough to complete the mission if you would be so kind."
There was an awful silence in the dinner table, for these were insulting terms. Kendra stared at Liandra for long moments, and the princess had to fight hard not to smile. "We of the Nocternia Empire also have our pride, but we don't place it above the welfare of others. It shall be done, if it pleases the King of Luxius." the baroness bowed, and the king agreed "It does. You have our gratitude, Baroness Blackhand. Thank you, Liandra." She curts a bow to her father, and returns to her sitting place
The dinner proceeds with much of the erratic debate of random subjects, many uninteresting, most deceitful, a few useful. Liandra notice several people looking at her with interest. Including some of the most powerful people in the kingdom, the royal magician, the knight commander, the chaplain and the master of the house.
Should Liandra try to speak with one of them?
