Just as the hell worm was getting its bearing, it felt itself being hefted into the air, its body pierced by large talons.

Above it, a great horned one flapped its powerful wings. The worm struggled against the predator desperately. It was now over forty feet in the air and flying away from the park.

The worm yanked itself hard against the razor talons, causing the bird of prey to falter in its flight. With a squeeze of its talons and a nip of its beak, the owl shredded the pesky worm creature, sending the parts flying all over the place below.
