Chapter 3 by sean_d2345 sean_d2345

You're coming up on Aunt Mary's Exit

The tears won't stop falling

The tears would not stop falling down the young woman’s face. Aunt Mary was gone forever, and now all the grief and sadness was hitting Allison hard. Why can’t I stop crying she thought. Why is she gone? The depression was overwhelming that Allison could barely see in front of her.

“Oh god. Are you crying? I didn’t say anything mean.” said David

“It wasn’t you. That was the exit I took to see my Aunt.” Allison replied

“Geez, you women are all the same. Can’t keep your emotions in check.” the jock replied

Any idea that her “friend” would try to comfort her shattered and the young woman started to bawl openly. The duo’s car began to sway back and forth on the road forcing the young man to take action.

“God if you’re gonna be like this, let’s pull over. Go down this road over here and make a left.”

David had her pull off the road and he took over. For twenty minutes, they drove through the night along twists and turns. Finally, they arrived at a nondescript looking building with no windows and no signage except a neon light that said "The Dive." They could hear blaring music coming from inside and lots of cars parked outside. The young woman parked the car and David got out.

“Do we need to be here?” she asked

“Look. I need to unwind for a minute, and I know the guy that owns this place. You can stay in the car and sob, or you can come inside. Your call. Virgin.” and with that, the young man walked inside.

Something was telling the young woman to not go inside there with her best friend’s boyfriend, but at the same time, she also felt like she needed to unwind. Maybe that would help her?

Do you go into the place with David?
