The start of the fleet

Senator Organa cleared his throat looking to Markus for moment before adressing the room, "It is no secret that the empire continues to grow in strength every passing day, we continue to hear the reports of what they do planets like Kashyeek and even more troubling we have heard terrible rumors that the empire have created a weapon that is capable of destruction beyond imagination. That whole planets could be destroyed in seconds, millions of lives vaporized if they saw fit," The room filled in gasped and worried murmurs, "I hope that makes it clear that our underhanded tactics will no longer suffice. We must take a stand and strike against the Empire!"

"But we have no army, no fleet, we barely have enough to take down one star destroyer and thats only if were lucky!" One senator exclaimed,

"And what of our homes, if we fight them and start to take this planet for instance, couldn't they just destroy us with this secret weapon you speak of?" Another asked, "We cant put our familes on the line let alone civillians,"

"We cant simply do nothing because of fear!" Organa yelled back,

"What we need is a way to be mobile, a way that pur rebellion can strike and disappear before the empire even knows we are there. We need to abandon our homes, our planets, we need to be in space and only in space." Markus spoke, "Being grounded is only going to doom us at this point, we are small enough that we can do this on ships and then we always stay one step ahead of them,"

"As clever of an idea as that may be, its pointless to think of, we do not have a fleet to use for this plan, let alone a capitial ship large enough to host for such a base of operations," Organa replied with a frown,

"Not yet, I have an idea," Markus replied as he moved to the center table and pulled up a map of the planet Bracca, "This planet is a dumping yard for ships of the clone wars, scappers rip them appart, melt them down and sell the metals for a profit. While many of the ships are dead and gone, some still remain and if we can mount an attack we can commandeer one for ourselves. Free crusiers and destroyers just waiting for us. The tech may be outdated but its a start."
