The sounds originate from a machine behind you.

The machine controls the electromagnetic bonds your ankles and your wrist are wrapped in. No way can you struggle out of those bonds. You now see both women's outfits turn from their colors into black. Their faces are now shrouded in darkness as the room dims the lights.
